Affiliates Program
The AzRISE Affiliates Program is designed to create a forum for active, meaningful and mutually beneficial interaction with a group of like-minded external partners. Central to AzRISE’s mandate when it was formed at the University of Arizona in 2007 was to enable multi‐disciplinary research, development and practical implementations of solar energy solutions to meet energy needs by creating innovative collaborations in research, economic and public policy analysis and education/outreach.
The Program supports the partnerships that are necessary to bring about the accelerated development and implementation of solar energy solutions. This requires a creative and committed group of institutions and individuals as well as resources to further the work of the Institute.
We can’t do this alone, and are forming a core team of committed and creative external partners to ensure our success in affecting and accelerating a solar future for our state and our planet.
There are a number of ways to participate in the AzRISE affiliates program. Whether you participate as an industrial affiliate, a government, nonprofit or alliance partner, or as an individual member, we have designed our partnerships with value at the forefront.
The objectives of the Affiliates Program are to:
- Cultivate engagement between industry and other organizations and AzRISE and the University of Arizona solar network of researchers and initiatives;
- Promote coordination and representation between affiliate representatives and faculty and graduate students on research projects;
- Provide opportunities for affiliate representation at key events, workshops and activities;
- Support the Institute’s activities and infrastructure through direct financial resources;
- Engage companies, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations in overall strategic direction of the Institute’s initiatives as they relate to real-world experience and best practices for implementation of solar-energy related developments.
